JENEECE PLACE
Jeneece Place will be a home-away-from-home for children and their families who must travel for care at Victoria General Hospital. The idea for the house was the dream of Jeneece Edroff, a phenomenal young lady with an inspiring story to tell. Together with Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children and TELUS, it is Jeneece's goal to build this house by the end of 2010. In order to help create awareness, the project needed an online portal to provide a hub for all Jeneece Place activities and communications. The site needed to be designed and built in a very aggressive timeline, and a key requirement was for content updates to be done by Queen Alexandra Foundation and Jeneece herself. The Wordpress CMS was selected for its ability to be rapidy developed, lts large assortment of readily available plug-ins, and its ease of use for content managment.
